Natural (Green) Burials
Elmwood offers two Natural (Green) Burial areas:
The first is a section of the cemetery that is maintained much like a traditional lawn would be kept. This provides for reserved burial plots so that family members can be interred together or side by side.
The second is a section that is minimally maintained with wildflowers and special grasses. Interments in this area take place in the order that they arrive at the cemetery. This practice is done in order to minimize disruption to the natural plants growing in the designated area.
